Should you wish to commission any services from foolproof-proofreading.co.uk, you accept these terms and conditions. In addition, when you use any current or future foolproof-proofreading.co.uk service, you will also be subject to the guidelines and conditions applicable for such service or business.

Limitation of Liability

If you are dissatisfied with any material returned by foolproof-proofreading.co.uk, or with any of Foolproof’s terms and conditions, you should discontinue using its services. While Foolproof endeavours to ensure that any files originating at this site are free of known computer viruses, it makes no warranty or guarantee that files are virus-free, and it is not able to provide any assurances with respect to emails or attachments that may have originated with third parties. All recipients are cautioned to check all emails, attachments and other computer files before accessing them, and any and all risk of virus contamination is assumed by the recipient.

Academic Liability

Foolproof-proofreading.co.uk recognises that academic evaluation of student work depends on considerations beyond our control. Foolproof cannot be held legally or otherwise responsible for disappointing and/or unsatisfactory outcomes of any factor, including the negligence of the editor and proofreader, or claims of such negligence. You are advised that plagiarism and breach of copyright are serious offences and we assume no responsibility for such content.

Changes to your Document

The changes Foolproof makes to your document may increase or decrease the word count and change page layout. You should be aware of this and check the document the company returns to you is ready for submission.


foolproof-proofreading.co.uk is not responsible for lost work. You as the client should always retain an original copy of your document and/or manuscript.


Prices quoted on the Website are estimates only and are subject to change without notice. Users are advised to obtain a specific quotation before commencement of work.


Payment is required in full prior to Foolproof beginning work on your document. foolproof-proofreading.co.uk may, at its sole discretion, offer monthly invoicing arrangements to regular personal and business customers, and agree to additional modified terms for such arrangements.


Each of the parties warrants its power to enter into this agreement and has obtained the necessary approval to do so.

Variations to the Service

foolproof-proofreading.co.uk shall be entitled to increase its prices to reflect any increase in costs resulting from:
• any alteration in or addition to your requirements
• your instructions or lack of instructions
• any interruptions, delays or additional overtime work arising from causes for which foolproof-proofreading.co.uk is not directly responsible.


You can cancel any commissioned work at any time prior to work commencing at no charge. If you cancel after commissioned work has begun, you will be invoiced for the work that has been completed up to that point at the per-word rate you were quoted. The partially completed work will be delivered to you upon cancellation.

Contract Termination

foolproof-proofreading.co.uk may terminate a project at any time for any reason.


All intellectual property of foolproof-proofreading.co.uk, such as trademarks, trade names, patents, registered designs and any other automatic intellectual property rights derived from the aesthetics or functionality of the Website remain the property of foolproof-proofreading.co.uk. By using the Website you agree to respect the intellectual property rights of foolproof-proofreading.co.uk and will refrain from copying, downloading, transmitting, reproducing, printing or exploiting for commercial purpose any material contained within the Website.

Force Majeure

Both parties shall be released from their respective obligations in the event of national emergency, war, prohibitive governmental regulation, or if any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the parties or either of them renders the performance of the agreement impossible, whereupon all money due under the agreement shall be paid immediately and in particular:

• the Client shall immediately pay to the Provider all arrears of payments, and
• each party shall be liable to pay to the other damages for any breach of the agreement and all expenses and costs incurred by that party in enforcing its rights.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement will be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any user of the Website hereby agrees to be bound exclusively by the jurisdiction of English courts without reference to rules governing choice of laws.
